Somatic Therapy

Unlock the Body’s Wisdom

  • Sometimes Words are Not Enough

  • Connect to a Deeper Sense of Self

  • Let Go of Destructive Habits

Have you already seen your doctor, tried medication, conventional therapy or counseling and your still feeling “stuck”?

You’re not alone. Sometimes, despite the best efforts and intentions, traditional therapy or treatment leaves you still feeling “stuck”. Somatic Craniosacral Healing can help shift the body, mind, and spirit. As we peel back the layers of unconscious emotions, and old thought patterns, we start to experience a greater sense of ease and peace within our own bodies.

“Why cant I figure it out?”

Because it’s not in your head…It’s in your body. Most of the things that cause us suffering come from our earliest days and unconscious beliefs, emotions, perceptions, and memories. But the body remembers, and it holds the key to healing and recovery.

Mind-Body healing can support those recovering from:

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Addiction

  • Grief

  • Trauma and Chronic Pain

Somatic Therapy, along with energy healing, is a holistic modality that takes into account the whole person. Here, we will be working on your mind-body relationship, your emotional body, and your energetic body. We will be integrating these into your physical body, resulting in a greater sense of peace, self healing and well-being.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic Therapy uses the powerful link between the mind and body. You are more than your thoughts! Much of how we experience the world, ourselves, and our relationships is through our physicality. Somatic Therapy brings the body into treatment. Combining the body with talk and psychoeducation allows access to previously unreachable material. Energy healing is a holistic practice that activates the body's subtle energy systems to remove blocks. By breaking through these energetic blocks, the body's inherent ability to heal itself is stimulated.

What happens in a Somatic Therapy session?

Here, you can address things that are on your mind or problems you’re experiencing. But, instead of solely talking about your problems, we will explore those issues in a physical way as well. Through body awareness, mindfulness, breath, and movement, the work becomes more experiential.
